My family

My name is Matthew Wilson and I’m the creator of Thinking Biblically.

On my best and worst days, I’m a sinner saved by grace. I am first and foremost a disciple of Jesus Christ. I am married to Bethany and we have five children.

In the past, I was the pastored two churches in Arkansas. I have a Master of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. I am a certified biblical counselor with the Biblical Counseling Institute.

My target audience is the average church member who wants to grow in their knowledge of God and His Word. My hope for this site is that it will help you to worship God as your mind is renewed according to God’s Word (Romans 12:1-2).

I hope to help you to better handle the Word of God (2 Timothy 2:15) with my posts and by sharing and recommending excellent books and other resources. You can find my sermons here and here (you may have to hunt for them a little bit).

Finally, if you are not a Christian, but are interested in knowing how to become one, see this page.
